Ecstasy (MDMA) is known as a “club” drug because it is often used at clubs or raves. It is a synthetic, mind altering drug that causes hallucinations. Ecstasy is highly addictive and the effects can last for days or weeks. Although some teens use club drugs, the use of ecstasy has dropped dramatically in the past few years. I feel a child is never too young to have conversations about drug use!
My 7 year-old is aware that there are drugs that are illegal and make people do bad things. She has committed to never using drugs!
I commend our school for doing a great job in educating our kids about the dangers of illegal drugs!
